3. Per-country voting is in order to show that our decisions and results have international support by countries around the world, and not just by a majority of individual enthusiasts in this group. It also prevents decisions being dominated by a plethora of members from one country. The KarstLink group members from each country are to select and advise us who their voting delegate is, and of course they can lobby that person about their vote.  Every member of the group can still post their opinions to the list before the vote. This per-country approach has worked very well for the Survey and Mapping Sub-commission for their various mapping symbols and grades recommendations.
